Description

The Ford Mk.IV was the final iteration of the iconic Ford GT40, known for its remarkable performance in endurance racing. It competed in only two races during 1967—the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans—and won both, solidifying its place in motorsport history. Unlike its predecessors (Mk I to III), which were built in the United Kingdom, the Mk.IV was designed and constructed in the United States by Kar Kraft, with only six units ever produced. The car’s initial livery closely resembled the winning vehicle driven by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt at Le Mans in 1967, with graphics by Leeway Chang. This casting can be considered a spiritual successor to the original Redline Ford Mark IV from 1969, capturing the legacy and design of this legendary race car.
